Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking an experienced neonatologist to serve as Medical Director for our well-established practice at Inova Alexandria Hospital in Alexandria, Virginia.
Inova Alexandria offers a 16-bed, Level-III NICU with 350 admissions annually and an average daily census of 13-15 NICU babies and 12-15 babies in the newborn nursery.
The practice is staffed by five physicians, who provide 24-hour in-house coverage of the NICU and newborn nursery.
The unit has the capability of offering conventional and high-frequency ventilation.
Whole body cooling, iNO and surgical cases are transferred to a local tertiary Children's Hospital.
Two Perinatologists are on staff and sub-specialty support is available by phone, and a full complement of pediatric sub-specialists is available 20 minutes away.
Our hospital has earned Baby Friendly designation.
The practice is heavily invested in quality and safety initiatives, and the NICU staff has a strong philosophy of family-centered care.
Ideal candidates will be collaborative consensus builders with five or more years of experience and demonstrated ability in developing and implementing clinical programs.
