Seeking an 11th neonatologist who is experienced and BC, to join a busy, vibrant, evidenced-based practice covering one of the largest NICUs in California at Sutter Medical Center in Sacramento. The state-of-the-art women's and children's hospital has a 61-bed Level-IV NICU with a an average daily census of 55 and approximately 1,200 admissions annually. In addition to full pediatric subspecialty support, there is a pediatric cardiovascular surgery program. The practice offers conventional and high-frequency ventilation, iNO and whole body cooling for HIE. There is a strong core group of nurses who attend high risk deliveries, intubate and place umbilical lines, and a busy transport team run by these nurses as well as a skilled group of respiratory therapists. The ideal candidate will have an interest in outreach and nursing education, will want to be involved in QI projects, participate on hospital committees and will have leadership potential. Coverage is also provided at a nearby community Level-III NICU.
