Seeking a BC/BE Pediatric Hospitalist to join our growing Pediatric Hospitalist/Intensivist inpatient team. We provide 24/7 family-centered care to infants and children admitted to our 17-bed pediatric unit and a 6-bed pediatric intensive care unit. We also provide care for over 2,000 infants annually in our mother-baby unit. All units are located in the Betty H. Cameron Women's and Children's Hospital at the New Hanover Regional Medical Center in the coastal community of Wilmington, NC.
New Hanover Regional Medical Center is a 650 bed, Level II Trauma Center serving southeastern North Carolina. The Betty H. Cameron Women's and Children's Hospital is a growing premier pediatric center with comprehensive state-of-the-art facilities. Pediatric care is provided by Coastal Children's Services, a pediatric multi specialty group including Pediatric Hospitalists, Pediatric Intensivists, Neonatologists, and numerous other Pediatric Subspecialists. Pediatric surgery is also available.
Responsibilities will include multi-disciplinary patient care and rounding in the general inpatient unit, mother-baby unit and providing cross coverage in the pediatric intensive care unit with intensivist back up. Other duties include pediatric consultation, performing circumcisions, moderate sedation, supervision of pediatric nurse practitioners, and education of residents and students.
