Clinical Nurse Specialist, NICU
The clinical nurse specialist will work in partnership with nursing and physician leadership and serves as a change agent for bedside nursing practice utilizing best practices to develop, teach, guide and implement practice standards and policies.
•Minimum of five years of clinical nursing experience in an acute care setting and/or related experience in specialty area of specific patient populations required
•Master's degree in nursing required
•Current certification in neonatal specialty
•Current RN license and recognition by the NC Board of nursing as a Clinical Nurse Specialist
The clinical nurse specialist (CNS) - Pediatrics is the clinical leader for and expert for nursing care of the pediatric population. Working in partnership with Nursing and Physician Leadership, the CNS serves as a change agent for bedside nursing practice utilizing best practices to develop, teach, guide and implement practice standards and policies. The CNS collaborates with all members of the health care team to design, implement, and measure safe, cost-effective, evidence-based care strategies and outcomes to improve patient care.
•Master's degree in nursing required.
•Minimum of five years of clinical nursing experience in an acute care setting and/or related experience in specialty area of specific patient populations required.
•National certification as Clinical Nurse Specialist with pediatrics experience Current certification in pediatrics specialty
•Current RN license and recognition by the NC Board of nursing as a Clinical Nurse Specialist.
