RWJBarnabas Health, the largest integrated health system in New Jersey, is seeking a Pediatric Pulmonologist for a faculty position at The Children’s Hospital of New Jersey, part of Newark Beth Israel Medical Center (Northern New Jersey – less than 20 miles outside NYC).
Position Overview –
100% Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine (no critical care responsibilities)
Provide full range of pediatric pulmonary clinical services, both inpatient and outpatient-focused role with teaching responsibilities within Children’s Hospital of New Jersey at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark, NJ
Robust referral base and existing infrastructure for diagnostic procedures as well as sleep studies conducted on-site
Support inpatient consults from pediatric inpatient unit, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and newborn nursery at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center
About Department of Pediatrics at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center –
Teaching site for both pediatric residents and medical students, as well as select pediatric sub-specialties
Busy Department with +30,000 Pediatric Emergency Department Visits, 45,000 subspecialty and primary care visits annually, and 2800 inpatient admissions
Located in Essex County, NJ –just to New York City and Jersey Shore
Faculty appointment available through Rutgers New Jersey Medical School
Ideal Candidates –
Must be board certified of board-eligible in Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine
Additional clinical interest/certification in Sleep Medicine is ideal
Experience in and desire continue with bronchoscopy program also has added value
