The Division of Child and Adolescent Health at Columbia University Medical Center/New York Presbyterian – Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital is seeking applicants for an opportunity to work with our Pediatric Hospital Medicine faculty. Our faculty provide inpatient care on both a traditional medical-surgical unit and a progressive care unit to children and adolescents through age 20 in a tertiary academic medical center in Northern Manhattan, and have the opportunity to teach and supervise medical students, residents and medical sub-specialty fellows. All faculty are expected to pursue an academic focus in quality improvement, health care systems, clinical research or other relevant field. Research and Quality Improvement efforts currently focus on family centered care, patient safety, medical education, care standardization, and health delivery and outcomes including the use of technology. Candidates for this position must be BC/BE; they must meet the requirements to practice clinical medicine in New York State. Fellowship training or the equivalent is strongly preferred. Candidates are expected to have strong academic potential, excellent clinical skills, and expertise in teaching.
