The position is as full time General Pediatric Provider in the Division of General Pediatrics. The duties will include but not be exclusive to:
Providing primary care to pediatric patients in the school community settings and documenting appropriately in the electronic health record. Provide oversight for all operational functions of the clinic and staff. Teaching and supervising pediatric residents in clinic. Teaching medical students and other learners. Staying current with general pediatric literature. Participating in academic teachings for the school health initiative. Serving as a program representative in community meetings. Meet with key stakeholders to advance the agenda of the school health program. Be available for consults with the feeder schools through telemedicine. Engage in activities within the school setting. Maintaining a valid Florida medical license. Maintaining a valid DEA license. As determined by the program and division director. Any other duties – clinical or administrative as necessary in support of the division.
Other responsibilities include:
Clinical and public health research – encouraged to become involved in clinical research, publish their findings in peer reviewed publications. Participate in data collection and analysis. Participate in grant application processes for funded research. Play a role in the development of curriculum for the newly formed residency rotation. University or Medical School or Departmental Committee work.
In addition, the incumbent in this position may have other duties as discussed with the program director.
