Neonatologist Division of Neonatology, Department of Pediatrics, Rainbow Babies & Childrens Hospital; Case Western Reserve University
Rainbow Babies & Children’s seeks a dynamic Neonatologist committed to excellence in clinical care and patient experience to join our stable group of 17 neonatologists covering our growing health system in Cleveland and Northern Ohio. The ideal candidate will provide a mix of Level 2, 3 and 4 care in an our award winning 82 bed Level 3 single family room NICU, attend high risk deliveries, and teach in our pediatric residency and neonatal fellowship programs. Candidates must have experience working in a level 4 unit. Experience with high frequency, ventilation, inhaled nitric oxide therapy, hypothermia for neonatal hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy, care of extreme preterm infants, performing antenatal consults and fetal assessment clinic evaluations with high risk pregnant patients are all preferred. The candidate will join the clinician-educator pathway; interest in clinical research or high quality improvement work is a plus.
The division is ranked number 4 in US News and World Report, and has a long term legacy of both basic science and clinical research. We are members of the NICHD Neonatal Research Network, and have been since its inception in 1986. Ohio also has a very strong statewide Quality Collaborative that seeks to improve the outcomes for mothers and infants in Ohio. (www.opqc.net) Faculty participate in all of these activities.
