Pediatric Hospitalist Medical Director, Florida Hospital for Children Orlando, Florida
The Walt Disney Pavilion at Florida Hospital for Children is looking for an experienced and dynamic Pediatric Hospitalist to help spearhead our program in Orlando. This physician will lead the pediatric hospitalist group at Florida Hospital for Children which consists of approximately eleven physicians and four advanced practitioners, over three different hospital sites.
Responsibilities of the new physician will include: Approximately 80% of clinical time with built in administrative time depending on physician’s level of interest. Physician leader would also oversee all clinical aspects of the program including quality, patient experience, policies and procedures, safety, and coverage. Education is also a key role as we have a pediatric residency program (just launched in 2013) with six residents per year.

Requirements of the position:
Leadership experience within a Pediatric Hospitalist group
Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatrics
Board eligible for Pediatric Hospitalist Medicine
Strong leadership and communication skills
“Team player” mentality
Research and/or other academic achievements are a plus
Our Walt Disney Pavilion at Florida Hospital for Children is a full service, tertiary children’s hospital with over 200 dedicated pediatric beds, including a 22 bed PICU, 10 bed Cardiac ICU, an 81 bed NICU, 17 bed pediatric emergency department and statewide pediatric transport system. We started our comprehensive pediatric open heart program in 2012.
