The Department of Pediatrics at Rush University Medical Center, located in downtown Chicago, is excited to announce the start of a new Latino Center. The Department of Pediatrics is seeking a Director level position, bicultural and bilingual preferred, with Latino research background, Associate or Professor Level, and 2 General Pediatricians open to all faculty ranks to join our faculty. The positions offer rich opportunities for research collaboration. Resources exist to support research activities and clinical growth in partnership with multiple service lines.
The Center will emphasize a family-centered multidisciplinary approach to health, and will bridge multiple fields focusing on enhancing the health of Pediatric Latinos in Chicago and by combining coordinated clinical care with advocacy, education and research. Rush plans to enhance our efforts by learning from the Latino community about their health needs, then developing programs to address those needs, incorporating cultural awareness education and training of our health care professionals, and research on health disparities.
Qualified candidates must have completed an approved pediatric residency program and be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics. The positions offer a competitive salary with a full and comprehensive benefits package. The successful candidates will have proven leadership skills in advocating for culturally effective health care for all infants, children, adolescents, and young adults.
