Nemours is seeking a Pediatric Hospitalist to join our team in Pottstown, Pennsylvania.
Nemours' collaboration with Pottstown Memorial Medical Center offers advanced pediatric care. Pottstown Memorial Medical Center is a 232-bed facility with a 10-bed pediatric unit. Nemours pediatric hospitalists are there for families to provide: • Pediatric expertise for the care of children in Pottstown Medical Center's Inpatient Pediatric Unit. • Consultations with Nemours pediatricians in the hospital’s emergency department. • Assistance in deliveries as needed. • Care for well-baby nursery patients as needed.
Nemours and Pottstown Memorial Medical Center also work together to: • Coordinate care, when needed, with our specialists at nearby Nemours locations such as Nemours duPont Pediatrics, Bryn Mawr; Nemours duPont Pediatrics, Newtown Square; Nemours duPont Pediatrics, Collegeville; Nemours duPont Pediatrics, Glen Mills; and Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, Delaware. • Facilitate the transfer of extremely ill patients to Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children.
The Pediatric Hospitalist will be responsible for attendance at deliveries, well baby care, inpatient pediatric care and pediatric consultations in the emergency department at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center. Pottstown is located in the northwestern suburbs of Philadelphia, about 30 minutes from Valley Forge National Park and 45 minutes from the Main Line. The area consists of excellent public and private schools with easy access to Philadelphia and is within 60 minutes of Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, DE.
Candidates need to be BC/BE in Pediatrics.
