Associate Research Scientist position in the Division of Infectious Disease will conduct research on virology and host-pathogen interaction projects in the Center for Host-Pathogen interaction laboratories. Involved in the planning, design and conduct of experiments and will supervise and mentor trainees and supervise technical staff as well. Candidate will engage in the wealth of scholarly and academic activities offered by the Center for Host-Pathogen interaction and the wider CUMC community. He/She will participate in preparing data for publication, writing and editing manuscripts that contain results of the research, chapters and review articles, and contribute to grant applications. He/She will be a key participant in the projects that involve experimentation in BSL4 facilities, and will carry out those experiments in the BSL4 facility in Lyon, France as part of his position.
