Baystate Health, an award–winning healthcare system and home of the University of Massachusetts Medical School-Baystate Health, is searching for a Pediatric or Med/Peds trained physician to join our Pediatric Hospital Medicine faculty at Baystate Children’s Hospital in Springfield, MA.
Features of this position:
•Join our strong and experienced team of 7 pediatric hospitalists which seeks to continually improve our regional and national recognition as well as academic achievement.
•Manage a diverse population of pediatric inpatients in our 53-bed general pediatric and adolescent wards with support of our top-notch onsite specialists. All patients are resident covered. We do not provide NICU nor PICU coverage, but we do cover the newborn nursery.
•Part time position (0.5 FTE) allows for excellent work/life balance. •There is also the potential to provide 3 years of an additional 50% support for promising early career investigators who have potential to be awarded future funding
•Ability to be a generalist or handle purely newborn nursery coverage, depending on candidate interest.
•Combination of clinical care and resident and medical student teaching with faculty appointments to the University of Massachusetts-Baystate.
•Springfield MA is 90 minutes from Boston and 2.5 hours from New York City.
Baystate Children’s Hospital (BCH) is a hospital-within-a-hospital at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA, and the only accredited children’s hospital in the region delivering a higher level of care to infants, children and adolescents.
