A member of the esteemed Trinity Health network, Mercy Health Saint Mary’s is seeking a Master’s-prepared nurse with Michigan RN licensure and five or more years of experience in an acute care setting and to take charge, affect change and support our ongoing journey for excellence. The Director of Nursing and Practice Development role has been created to give the right person the best opportunity to model and lead nurses and to create productive collegial relationships with our medical staff; to achieve results through excellent management; to exemplify a highly engaged persona; and to tirelessly seek excellence in clinical practice and the work environment. National certification in specialty and DNP designation preferred.
The successful candidate will provide leadership towards operationalizing the strategic plan and driving an outstanding and dynamic clinical practice environment, including maintenance of our Magnet® designation. This role will continue to build and nurture our relationships with nursing academic organizations for research, advancement of evidence-based practice and partnerships in evolving the Clinical Nurse Leader role.
