Banner Health and Banner Children’s Specialists (BCS) is seeking a Child Abuse Pediatrician to join a well-established and growing program in the Phoenix metro area. We seek candidates with the following qualifications and interests:
BE/BC in General Pediatrics or Child Abuse Pediatrics
3-5 years of general pediatric experience, Peds Critical Care; Peds ED; or Peds Hospitalist
Interest and/or passion in child advocacy
Child Abuse Pediatrics Fellowship is desirable
Strong clinical team building and interpersonal relationship skills
Schedule is Monday through Friday seeing patients at Cardon Children’s Medical Center (CCMC) and Banner Thunderbird Medical Center (BTMC). Will take call for all of Banner Health System. Call is 1:3, nights, weekend, and holidays.

CCMC located on the campus of Banner Desert Medical Center (BDMC) in Mesa, AZ., is a newer state-of-the-art 206-bed children’s care facility that opened November 2009. Pediatric Population of 350,000, CCMC now has 104 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit beds staffed with 24/7 Neonatologists. CCMC’s newly expanded Pediatric Emergency Department provides specialized emergency care for kids of all ages and includes 26-beds. Pediatric Trauma Services are planned to open November 2017. There are more than 240 pediatric physicians on staff, covering more than 27 specialties with the hospital providing a full range of services.
BTMC located in the West Valley of Phoenix in Glendale, is a 555-bed facility with a 40-bed inpatient pediatric ward, a 35 bed NICU, and a 17 bed PICU. BTMC is currently ranked as one of the top hospitals in the Phoenix metropolitan area by US News & World Report and is a recipient of the prestigious "Best of the West" award from Westmarc in recognition of the hospital's contributions to the region. Part of our Peds Neurology team practices from the BTMC campus. Glendale and the West Valley are growing areas offering excellent suburban neighborhoods, professional sports, hiking and boating, and magnificent sunsets!
