Massachusetts General Hospital Neonatology and Newborn Medicine Community program Pediatric Hospitalist (Full or Part-time)
The Division of Neonatology and Newborn Medicine in the Department of Pediatrics at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) is seeking candidates for a full or part-time clinical pediatric hospitalist position to provide clinical care in the Newborn Nurseries and Level II Special Care Nurseries (SCNs) at our community hospital partners. This position includes both day and night coverage. Day shift responsibility can include rounding in newborn nursery, coverage of the delivery room and rounding in SCN. Overnight and weekend coverage includes in-house coverage of the SCN, newborn nursery, and the delivery room. All the work is done in collaboration with an on-call neonatologist.
The successful candidate will work closely with a well established group of neonatologists, pediatricians and neonatal nurse practitioners providing coverage for two 10-bed SCNs and level I nurseries in the network. The dynamic group of dedicated providers enjoys clinical support from pediatric and surgical sub-specialties from MGHfC and an active neonatal transport program.
This clinical position will provide excellent opportunities to be involved in quality improvement initiatives in collaboration with MGH. Interest in clinically related research is welcome. Requirements include an MD or equivalent degree, eligibility for medical licensure in the State of Massachusetts, and board certification or board eligibility in Pediatrics.
