Henry Community Health in New Castle Indiana is recruiting a part-time to full-time Newborn/Pediatric Hospitalist to join our established group. We are looking for applicants committed to providing exceptional newborn and inpatient care to our mostly rural population. The majority of our patients (350 deliveries per year) are cared for in our level 2 nursery and are normal newborns. Call responsibilities include attendance at deliveries, admission of newborns, pediatric admissions and ED consultations. Shifts are 24 hours and are not in house.
Ideal candidates will have experience in areas including newborn resuscitation and stabilization, all aspects of general pediatric inpatient care and will have excellent communication skills. Members of our team provide inpatient care on an 18 bed Women and Children’s unit and consultative services to the Emergency Department. We work closely with our top notch outpatient pediatricians and have ready access to a full cadre of pediatric specialists in nearby Indianapolis.
Candidates must be Board Certified/Eligible in Pediatrics and may have fellowship training in Pediatric Hospital Medicine.
