Norton Women’s and Children’s Hospital Hospitalist
The University of Louisville Department of Pediatrics is recruiting a full-time hospitalist to be the 5th Pediatric Hospitalist providing 24/7 attending coverage at Norton Women’s and Children’s Hospital in St. Matthews, Kentucky. A part-time position could be considered.
Responsibilities include coverage of the 14-bed general pediatric inpatient unit and will not include coverage for the Emergency Department, ICU, nursery, or subspecialty units, The Norton Women’s and Children’s Hospital is an all-inclusive women’s and children’s facility in a community setting, closely affiliated with the University of Louisville Department of Pediatrics, approximately 10 miles from downtown Louisville. The University’s Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine provides physician coverage for this unit as well as the academic, teaching hospitalist service downtown at the freestanding children’s hospital. The right candidate may also be eligible for some teaching hospitalist work at the downtown site.
As a faculty member in the Department of Pediatrics, the position may include the training of medical students and residents from Pediatrics, combined Medicine-Pediatrics, and Family Medicine.
