Academic Neonatologist Department of Neonatology Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center Harvard Medical School
The Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) and the Department of Neonatology are seeking candidates for a junior faculty neonatologist position. This position has strong expectations for academic productivity in health services research and includes clinical responsibilities in the neonatal intensive care units at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and its affiliates, teaching responsibilities at Harvard Medical School, and training supervision in the Harvard Neonatal-Perinatal fellowship training program.
Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center is a patient care, teaching and research affiliate of Harvard Medical School, and currently ranks third in National Institutes of Health funding among independent hospitals nationwide. The perinatal program includes 5,200 deliveries per year with an active, high-risk maternal-fetal medicine service, a 62-bed Level--III NICU, and a well-established, multi-disciplinary, and family-centered care model.
The successful candidate should be board certified or fellowship-prepared in neonatology, and will have a graduate degree that includes formal training in relevant research methods. Salary and academic rank at Harvard Medical School will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
