An opportunity exists for a full time Pediatric Infectious Disease physician or a full time position encompassing a mix of both general Pediatrics and Infectious Disease. The physician will practice at the Arizona Children’s Center (NACHRI designated) at Maricopa Medical Center (MMC). MMC is a 450-bed tertiary care teaching hospital with a Level I Trauma Center/ Burn Center, the second largest burn center in the nation. Arizona Children’s Center provides extensive primary care (60,000+ visits/year), free-standing emergency department, tertiary inpatient care (Tertiary burn center, level 1 pediatric trauma), and an active pediatric residency program. The position would include employment through District Medical Group (DMG), a 450+ physician multi-specialty group exclusively contracted to provide patient care and medical education at MMC.
Candidates must have a M.D. or D.O. degree, valid Arizona license, completed a Pediatric Infectious Disease Fellowship in an accredited program and be BC/BE in Pediatrics and Pediatrics Infectious Diseases. Candidate will also participate in the management of the infection control program and the hospital’s antibiotic stewardship program. The microbiology lab at MMC is equipped with the latest technology in diagnostics.
