At Montefiore, DOING MORE? means building on a history of firsts to create the future of healthcare. For over 100 years, we’ve been pushing the boundaries of medicine with innovations such as the intravenous cardiac pacemaker and one of the nation’s first pediatric kidney transplants. As we continue to move forward, we seek professionals who want to join our team of leaders and trailblazers to advance the health of our communities in Westchester, the Hudson Valley and the Bronx.
The Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine (PHM) in the Department of Pediatrics at The Children’s Hospital at Montefiore (CHAM) and Albert Einstein School of Medicine is currently seeking a candidate to join our dynamic and growing faculty. CHAM is a tertiary care, academic children’s hospital serving a diverse patient population. Our division currently includes 16 pediatric hospitalists and 7 physician assistants and has a strong foundation in quality and performance improvement as well as clinical research. In addition, we are proud to have the premier PHM fellowship in New York City, and our division members are core faculty for the pediatric residency program and medical student education.
We are looking for a board certified/board eligible candidate who is committed to a career in academic Pediatric Hospital Medicine. Our ideal candidate is energetic and enthusiastic with the ability to work effectively as part of a team. We are particularly interested in candidates with research and/or quality improvement training and experience. The candidate must also be an outstanding clinician dedicated to the care of hospitalized children and their families, and an excellent teacher of learners at all levels. Scholarly productivity expectations will be aligned with the candidate’s interests and the division’s mission. Fellowship or advanced training is preferred. Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with experience. To learn more and apply, send your CV and cover letter to Rommel Torres, Senior Human Resources Specialist, at firstname.lastname@example.org (in care of Patricia Hametz, MD, MPH, Chief of the Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine).
