The Department of Pediatrics of Northwell Health and The Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell seeks a Board Certified/Board Eligible Neonatologist to join the Division of Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine at Cohen Children’s Medical Center in New Hyde Park, NY. The Neonatologist will work in Level III & IV NICUs. This position requires someone with strong clinical skills to attend in the NICUs, cover L&Ds, and participate in night and weekend in-house call along with 25 other neonatologists. There is significant opportunity to teach fellows, residents, and medical students. There is protected time for initiating scholarly activities. Academic appointment at The Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell is commensurate with experience. The compensation package is competitive and includes salary, fringe benefits, malpractice insurance and CME time.
The Division of Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine covers the NICUs at Cohen and North Shore University Hospital, offering an evidence-based, academic practice in collegial units, staffed 24/7 by neonatologists, NNPs, RTs, fellows, and residents. Our units offer all neonatal services, including high frequency ventilation, inhaled nitric oxide, ECMO, advanced nutrition strategies, and all surgical subspecialties, including cardiothoracic surgery. The hospitals have 18,000 deliveries and over 3,500 NICU admissions annually. .
