The Penn State Health Children's Hospital is offering an exciting opportunity to join a group of 15 for Pediatric/Med-Peds hospitalists within the Division of Inpatient General Pediatrics at our Hershey campus. The organization is poised for an exciting period of growth that includes establishing pediatric rehabilitation hospital coverage, staffing additional service demands as part of a Children’s Hospital expansion project and post-discharge clinic staffing. Currently we are the largest discharging service within the Children’s Hospital, representing approximately 30% of all hospital discharges. We employ Lean/Six Sigma methodology and Lean leadership style. Our efficient work has received local and national recognition. We also employ a “wellness assessment bundle” as part of our commitment to measuring and achieving wellness as a key performance indicator. As a result, life-work balance consistently exceeds institutional and national averages and preventable staff turnover has been 0 for 3 consecutive years.

What We're Seeking:
•Candidates willing to help build a rehabilitation co-management service in addition to participating in traditional hospitalist patient care activities. •Must be BC/BE in Pediatrics or Internal Medicine/Pediatrics, +/- board eligibility in pediatric hospital medicine through either the training or practice tracks. •Shared divisional values of “family, respect, integrity, teamwork” •A strong or growing track record of scholarship, commitment to education, research, and quality improvement and personal development. •Commitment to participating in our division’s “Wellness Assessment Bundle”.
