The Department of Pediatrics at the University of California, Davis Health is seeking to recruit part or full-time community pediatric hospitalists to join our Division of Hospitalist Medicine. Clinical time will primarily be spent at Adventist Health Lodi Memorial Hospital in Lodi, California with potential opportunities to spend additional clinical time at UC Davis in Sacramento. Clinical duties will include delivery coverage, newborn care with level II NICU coverage, general inpatient pediatric care, and Emergency Room consults. Minimum qualifications include a MD/DO degree, board certification/eligibility in Pediatrics, and eligibility for a California medical license. These will be one year contract positions reviewed annually for reappointment. These positions will be open until filled.
Lodi is a city located in San Joaquin County, California, in the northern portion of California's Central Valley; 36 miles south of Sacramento (state's capital). The population is about 65,000 and the area boasts exceptional schools including the top ranked elementary school among California public schools (schooldigger.com).
Lodi is best known for being a center of wine grape production (the "Zinfandel Capital of the World"). National recognition came from the Creedence Clearwater Revival song "Lodi" and continues with the "2015 Wine Region of the Year" award given to Lodi by Wine Enthusiast Magazine. Nearby Woodbridge is the home of the well-known winery, Woodbridge by Robert Mondavi. Mondavi grew up in Lodi, and Mondavi Winery is considered one of the most influential in the American wine industry.
