Mount Sinai West, a part of the Mount Sinai Health System, is seeking a full-time neonatologist for the Division of Newborn Medicine in the Department of Pediatrics. The position includes an academic appointment at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
The Division is seeking a candidate who is BC/BE in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine to join the 5 faculty members of the division. Primary clinical service will be provided in a busy Level III NICU. Responsibilities include direct patient care, supervision of Pediatric Hospitalists, attendance of high-risk deliveries, provision of consultations for Pediatricians in the well-baby nursery, and prenatal consultations as requested by the Department of Obstetrics.
The successful candidate must possess or be eligible for a New York State Medical License and will participate in the clinical and educational activities of the division, which include clinical and research mentorship of medical students, residents, and fellows. Demonstrated leadership competency, superior communication, interpersonal, multitasking and problem-solving skills are a must. Academic appointment is expected to be at a level commensurate with experience and qualifications.
