The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health is recruiting for 4 General Pediatricians (entry level or experienced), 50% -100% FTE, at the Assistant or Associate Professor level in our Clinician-Teacher (CT) or Clinical Health Sciences (CHS) track to provide outpatient clinical care for the Division of General Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine. We are seeking dynamic and innovative candidates who are interested in providing clinical care and teaching, with the opportunity to participate in scholarly activity within a vibrant academic medical center.
Qualified candidates should have successfully completed pediatric residency, be board eligible/board certified in Pediatrics, and have, or be eligible, for a Wisconsin Medical License. Candidates for appointment at the associate professor rank on this non-tenure track will possess scholarly credentials appropriate to the rank per established UW School of Medicine and Public Health policy and guidelines. The Division of General Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine is an accomplished division comprised of 40 general pediatricians working across 7 ambulatory clinical sites, and is a part of the Department of Pediatrics with over 180 faculty. The 111-bed American Family Children’s Hospital opened in August 2007 and is the only facility in Madison exclusively devoted to the care and treatment of children. In addition to serving the local community, it receives tertiary and quaternary referrals from throughout the state and region and is staffed by pediatricians and surgeons from every subspecialty practice.

The American Family Children's Hospital is a complete children's medical and surgical center with a pediatric intensive care unit, an internationally recognized transplant surgery program, a children's cancer center and a family-friendly atmosphere located in Madison, WI. The six-story, 135,000 square foot, 87-bed facility that opened August 2007.The inpatient rooms average over 250 square feet. Other areas such as classroom space, Child Life play areas, and patient/family spaces have been considerably expande...d from the old building.
