We’re seeking a board certified/board eligible neonatologist to join Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s team full time at Tennova Clarksville, in Clarksville, Tennessee, located just 50 miles from Nashville. In addition to the 100-bed NICU at the Mildred Stahlman Division of Neonatology at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital in Nashville, Tennova Clarksville is one of three hospitals where Vanderbilt provides full-time neonatology services. U.S. News & World Report consistently ranks Children’s Hospital’s Division of Neonatology among the nation’s best, and its NICU was one of the first hospital programs in the world to care specifically for preterm infants.
Here you will work closely with two other board-certified neonatologists and four experienced neonatal nurse practitioners in Tennova Healthcare’s thriving 12-bed level 2B NICU. Two designated rooms are available for families on the night before discharge. The Vanderbilt University Medical Center neonatal transport team can provide transfer of babies to the Level IV NICU at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt in Nashville. Neonatologists are on-call for after-hours needs, and an in-house neonatal nurse practitioner is in the unit 24 hours a day. The ideal candidate will be an experienced neonatologist who will support and drive Vanderbilt’s commitment to clinical excellence, quality improvement, and education. A faculty appointment at Vanderbilt University is available commensurate with experience and qualifications. Vanderbilt University Medical Center offers a very competitive salary and benefits package.
As a resident of Clarksville, you’ll enjoy a charming Southern environment with easy access to big-city amenities and events. Clarksville has preserved its small-town feel while it has grown to be Tennessee’s fifth-largest city and one of the state’s fastest-growing areas; in fact, it’s on track to surpass Chattanooga by 2020 as the state’s fourth-largest city. Clarksville’s cost of living is among the state’s lowest, and you’ll find a diverse and extremely affordable mix of housing here including city, suburban and rural environments, along with quality schools. Fort Campbell, U.S. Army base, is about 10 miles from downtown Clarksville and straddles the Tennessee/Kentucky state line. Downtown Clarksville is historic and offers a year-round calendar of community events along with shopping, dining, music and entertainment, sports and recreation.
Located less than an hour’s drive away is Nashville, the country music capital of the United States and Tennessee’s state capital. The Grand Ole Opry, the Johnny Cash Museum, and Country Music Hall of Fame, plus sports, shopping, nightlife, top-notch restaurants and culture make Nashville one our nation’s most exciting cities – and it’s all in your backyard.
In addition, Tennessee residents enjoy the benefit of no state income tax. For more details about this exceptional opportunity, please email your CV to Glenda Smith, Principal, Pediatric Search Partners, at email@example.com, or call (877) 440-3832, or text to (214) 840-3094.
