Advanced Practice Registered Nurses / Physician Assistants
The Division of Academic General Pediatrics at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore (CHAM) is seeking a full-time academic general pediatrician to join our complex care program, LINCS (Linking the Individual Needs of Children with Services). Our highly experienced team of dedicated professionals provides multidisciplinary care within CHAM for children with medical complexity. The LINCS program provides patients with comprehensive primary care and sub-specialty care coordination. The patient population includes children and adolescents from diverse socio-economic and cultural backgrounds with comorbidities and technology-dependencies associated with extreme prematurity, neurodegenerative disorders, solid organ transplants, short bowel syndrome, complex congenital heart disease and chromosomal and metabolic disorders. Responsibilities include providing pediatric ambulatory care and inpatient consultation to children and adolescents in addition to supervision and teaching of residents and medical students and participation in quality/performance improvement initiatives. We are looking for candidates who are board certified/board eligible in Pediatrics, possess outstanding clinical skills, have experience in medical education or demonstrated scholarship and an ongoing commitment to research in the field of complex care (e.g. clinical research, health services/outcomes research, or community based participatory research). The successful candidate will receive an academic appointment at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Academic rank will be commensurate with experience. About the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore (CHAM): CHAM is a 142-bed nationally renowned academic children’s hospital providing inpatient, ambulatory, and emergency care for children and adolescents. CHAM is the pediatric hospital of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and is part of the Montefiore Health System spanning the Bronx and Westchester counties in New York.
About the Division of Academic General Pediatrics: The Division of Academic General Pediatrics consists of 65 attending physicians, six PhD level researchers, and 7 psychologists and 1 psychiatrist. Division faculty are actively engaged in medical education, quality improvement and research. Division research initiatives are currently focused on mental health, asthma, obesity, health care transitions, adolescent health, and children and adolescents with special health care needs/medical complexity.
