Porter Pediatric Primary Care, an affiliate of the University of Vermont Health Network, is seeking a board certified/board eligible pediatrician to join our practice. Our group is dedicated to providing high quality care for our patients, fostering a cohesive and collaborative workplace environment, and maintaining a work-life balance.
Our practice currently comprises 3 physicians, 2 Nurse Practitioners, and a very strong and experienced clinical support staff.
We provide the full range of pediatric primary care from birth to age 23, with over 12,000 visits annually.
Additional services available in our clinic include a certified lactation consultant, pediatric care manager, nutritionist and mental health clinician.
This full-time physician will be responsible for 32 bookable patient hours per week, which may include some evening hours.
Birthing Center coverage: We provide pediatric coverage for the Birthing Center at Porter Medical Center, which has 350-400 births per year. Responsibilities include rounding on healthy newborns, attendance at deliveries, management of common newborn conditions (hyperbilirubinemia, hypoglycemia, Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome, etc.), neonatal resuscitation and stabilization and coordination of NICU transfer when indicated.
Consultation, assessment and management of pediatric patients seen in the Porter Medical Center Emergency Department and those admitted to the General Surgery service
Call: Weeknight call (Monday-Thursday) is 1:5, Weekend call (Friday p.m.-Monday a.m.) is also 1:5. Weekend call includes clinic hours on both Saturday and Sunday mornings from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. & RN phone triage for overnight calls
Current EMR is Meditech/LSS with plans to transition to Epic Ambulatory in November 2019
