We are very excited to announce the search/replacement for a well-qualified Director of Women and Newborn Services, working with a hospital that is part of a stable and growing health system. Riverside provides patient-centered health services with a special concern for patients and their families.
The Director of Women and Newborn Services will develop, implement, coordinate, and evaluate the delivery of quality nursing care services within the Family Birth Center, including Labor & Delivery, Level II Nursery and Postpartum.
The Director will hold overall 24/7 responsibility/accountability for the daily operations of the department: including but not limited to productivity, budgeting, staff competencies, payroll, scheduling.
Knowledge of State Regulatory Compliance of Women and Newborn arena.
Serves as liaison between staff members and physicians.
Supports/ensures the highest quality of care according to professional practice standards. (AWHONN, ACOG, AAP).
Creates ongoing comprehensive strategic plans towards the advancement of all aspects of women and newborn care.
Preferred is a strong clinical expertise in Obstetrics, as well as awareness of high risk deliveries. The Director of Women's and Newborn Services will be supported by a cohesive administrative team and a collaborative FBC Team, well trained with a tenured staff of 60 FTEs. The Director will be responsible to oversee a busy and fast paced department delivering approximately 1,100 babies and 3,300 outpatients annually.
Graduated from an accredited school of nursing
Rich background in Women and Newborn Services
Specialty Certification preferred
Master's in Nursing and/or MBA required
