Pediatric Hospitalist Positions – Southern California
Join our established, growing Pediatric Hospitalist program, now serving the greater Palm Springs area. Clinical duties include Pediatric Ward rounds, direct admissions, ED admissions and consults, well newborn rounds, high-risk delivery attendance. Duty periods are 7am – 7pm in-house with call from home (not greater than 30 minutes away). Family Medicine and ED residents participate on the day team and night float. We are currently seeking a full-time Pediatric Hospitalist to start right away; one or more additional full-time positions are anticipated in 2020.
The Division of Clinical Sciences at the University of California, Riverside is recruiting faculty members in the Department of Pediatrics in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor series at the Assistant, Associate, or Full professor rank. We seek clinical educators to participate in full-time inpatient clinical practice in Pediatrics within a community setting and with academic affiliation. This position is primarily clinical, but offers excellent opportunities for teaching and pursuing a career in academic medicine together with teaching and scholarly activity. Applicants with experience in providing inpatient pediatric care, newborn exams, and ER consults are encouraged to apply. Experience and interest in working in interdisciplinary teams are preferred. Successful candidates will practice at the UC Riverside School of Medicine affiliated hospitals in the Riverside, Palm Springs and surrounding areas.

Successful candidates will also be expected to show a strong commitment to education of medical students and residents, as well as participate in scholarly activities, University and public service. Applicants must qualify for medical staff privileges at UCR Health and our affiliated hospitals. Rank will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
