The Department of Pediatrics at Wake Forest School of Medicine is seeking a full-time, Board Certified or Board Eligible Neonatologist at the Assistant, Associate, or Professor level to join fourteen neonatologists, a behavioral psychologist, dedicated Quality Improvement practitioner, and numerous advanced practitioners in the Division of Neonatology.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications: MD or DO, strong clinical and educational skills, and dedication to scholarly activity in research, quality improvement, and education.
The Division is centered in two Neonatal Intensive Care Units in Winston-Salem, NC with a combined capacity of more than 120 beds. The division has an active neonatal-perinatal fellowship and research focuses in clinical trials, neonatal abstinence, ELGANS, and neonatal follow-up amongst others. Successful applicants will help staff the units at Brenner Children’s Hospital and Novant/Forsyth Medical Center. The Level IV NICU at Brenner Children’s Hospital serves as the referral center for the more than 28,000 neonates born in Northwest North Carolina’s Perinatal Region II and will be transitioning to a state of the art, 53-bed, single family room NICU in 2019. Forsyth Medical Center has more than 7,000 annual births and 1,100 admissions to its Level III NICU.
