Description The University of Chicago's Department of Pediatrics, Section of Academic Pediatrics, is searching for a full-time faculty member at any rank. The successful applicant will provide coverage for the Comer Children’s Hospital as a hospitalist and also provide hospitalist coverage at off-site locations. We especially welcome applicants with experience or interest in research-based innovation in quality improvement and/or implementation science. Other duties will include teaching and supervision of trainees and students, and scholarly activity. Academic rank and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benets) are dependent upon qualications.
The Section of Hospital Medicine has nationally recognized research and education programs that build on collaborations throughout the University and is active in clinical operations and quality improvement in the Medical Center.
Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, 3) be Pediatric Hospital Medicine fellowship trained and 4) be Board certified in Pediatrics. Our assessment of applications will consider recent post-training experience in the care of complex and critically ill infants, children and adolescents, and in newborn resuscitation.
