The division of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine at Arizona Children’s Center at Maricopa Medical Center is seeking a qualified pediatric intensive care physician to join us.
Arizona Children’s Center, located in Phoenix, Arizona, is a Children’s Hospital within a Hospital and provides tertiary care to children. The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit with 500 admissions/year, serves a busy level-one trauma and burn center, an active pediatric emergency department, as well as provides all the advanced techniques necessary in support of the medically challenging pediatric patient.
The department faculty of 41 physicians serves a busy pediatric emergency department with 20,000 visits/ year and an inpatient pediatric service with 2000 admissions/year. Pediatric subspecialists including pediatric GI, neurology, ID, cardiology, endocrinology and pulmonology are part of the group. An active research division, with opportunities both at our institution and at the affiliated medical schools.
The faculty at AzCC is part of a multi-specialty physician group, one of the largest in Arizona and provides clinical coverage at Maricopa Medical Center. The setting is academic, enjoying affiliation with University of Arizona & Creighton University and medical school appointment and medical student teaching. We are a part of a large combined pediatric residency program with Phoenix Children’s Hospital.
