The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health is recruiting for a 75%-100% appointment, board certified or board eligible general pediatrician at the Assistant or Associate Professor level in our Clinician-Teacher (CT) or Clinical Health Sciences (CHS) track to provide outpatient clinical care in our Division of General Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine. We are a strong division of 40 general pediatricians working across 7 ambulatory clinical sites. Candidates should have interest in providing clinical care and teaching, with the opportunity to participate in scholarly activity within a vibrant academic medical center. The 111-bed American Family Children’s Hospital opened in August 2007 and is the only facility in Madison exclusively devoted to the care and treatment of children. In addition to serving the local community, it receives tertiary and quaternary referrals from throughout the state and region and is staffed by pediatricians and surgeons from every subspecialty practice. The Department of Pediatrics has 183 faculty and continues to grow.
Requirements for this position are: MD or equivalent; completion of pediatric residency; board certified or board eligible in pediatrics; and Wisconsin medical licensure. Additionally, research and scholarly activity are required for the CHS track. Candidates for appointment at the Associate Professor rank on this non-tenure track will possess scholarly credentials appropriate to the rank per established UW School of Medicine and Public Health policy and guidelines.
