Exciting opportunity to join our well-established, dynamic newborn hospitalist program at Montefiore Medicine (Montefiore Medical Center, the Children's Hospital at Montefiore and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine) in the Bronx, New York. In this position, non-intensive care newborn nursery hospitalists are members of the Division of Neonatology and work in the nurseries at our Weiler-Einstein and Montefiore Wakefield Hospital sites. Responsibilities include clinical care and teaching of pediatric and family medicine residents, allied health professionals and medical students with opportunities to participate in scholarship, performance and quality improvement and community outreach. Both our nursery services have Baby Friendly designation. BC/BE is required; Montefiore Medicine is an E/E/O employer.
Nursery hospitalist faculty are welcome and encouraged to participate in the activities of our robust, nationally recognized pediatric hospitalist program in addition to all Division of Neonatology and Department of Pediatrics educational, leadership and professional development offerings. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience; faculty are eligible for a full benefits package. Successful candidates are eligible for an academic appoinment at the Albert Eisntein College of Medicine.

About Montefiore Medical Center - Children's Hospital at Montefiore
Montefiore’s Children's Hospital provides inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department care for children from birth through age 21 years. Our faculty encompasses the entire range of pediatric medical and surgical subspecialties to offer state of the art treatment for diseases ranging from routine newborn care through tertiary and quaternary subspecialty services. The Children's Hospital is part of Montefiore Medical Center, the University Hospital for the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
Obstetric and Neonatal services are provided at the Weiler Hospital and Wakefield Divisions of Montefiore Medical Center. The Weiler Hospital Division operates a NYS-designated Regional Perinatal Center (4000+ births; 35-bed NICU with an ADC 33 babies; NBN ADC 36) providing comprehensive care for complex pregnancies and critically ill neonates. Our tertiary level community perinatal service is located at Montefiore’s Wakefield Division (2000+ births during 2018; 15-bed NICU; NICU ADC 14 babies; NBN ADC 18).
