Hospitalist / Nocturnist - Pediatric Hem/Onc

The Division of Pediatric Hematology-Oncology at Boston Children’s Hospital is seeking Hospitalists/Nocturnists to join our team in order to provide care for hospitalized patients overnight. Responsibilities will include providing supervision to residents and NPs who cover the inpatient services at night, direct care of all patients with significant active medical issues, providing consultation to the Emergency Department regarding admissions of established hematology-oncology patients, and collaborating with medical team in evaluation of patients presenting with a new hematologic or oncologic diagnosis. Hematology-oncology attendings on-call from home will provide back-up support and be available to come to hospital as needed. Full-time position will include 8 overnight shifts per month (~96 nights/year), including some weekend nights and holidays. Candidates interested in a part-time position are encouraged to apply. Qualified candidates will be Board certified/board eligible in Pediatrics; fellowship training or other experience in Pediatric Hematology-Oncology would be of interest. Salary offered will be consistent with fair market rate and commensurate with experience. The Dana-Farber/Boston Children's Cancer and Blood Disorders Center is an integrated pediatric hematology and oncology program through Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Boston Children’s Hospital which provides – in one specialized program – comprehensive care for children and adolescents with hematologic and oncologic disorders. All inpatient care occurs at Boston Children’s Hospital, a 415-bed comprehensive center for pediatric health care and adolescent health care.
