The Division of Pediatric Endocrinology, Department of Pediatrics at The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) seeks a BC/BE physician to provide care at Children’s of Alabama. The rank of this faculty position is at the level of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor on the Academic or Clinician Track depending on qualifications.
The Endocrinology Division is currently comprised of ten faculty members utilizing a team approach to cover a wide range of hormone-related disorders in children. The preferred candidate will demonstrate a track record of excellence in clinical care, graduate medical education and/or research and possess outstanding leadership skills.
Children’s of Alabama (COA) is the third largest children’s hospital medical campus in the U.S. It is home to the state's only Level I pediatric trauma center, the only pediatric renal care center, the largest pediatric burn center in the Southeast and is one of the largest pediatric outpatient centers in the nation. Successful candidates must be a licensed MD/DO and board certified/eligible in Pediatric Endocrinology. Physicians and other clinical faculty candidates who will be employed by the University of Alabama Health Services Foundation (UAHSF) or other UAB Medicine entities, must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
