Pediatric Oncology Hospital/Staff Physicians – Cincinnati Children's Blood and Cancer Diseases Institute
The Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, a 550 + bed institution, is currently seeking full-time Hospital Physicians (or Hospitalist trained Physicians) for our inpatient Oncology Unit.
The Oncology Program in the Cancer and Blood Diseases Institute at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center is an international leader. Our primary objective is to improve the lives and potentially provide a cure for children and adolescents with cancer, blood, and immune disorders. This mission is achieved by offering compassionate, state of the art clinical care to patients and their families; advancing our understanding of these diseases through basic and translational research; and educating future health care providers and leaders in the field. The Oncology Division at Cincinnati Children’s is under the direction of John Perentesis, M.D.

Description Hospital physicians help provide supportive care to pediatric and young adult patients admitted to the inpatient units. They work in conjunction with the attending oncology physician providing the patient’s day to day care and management of complex and acutely ill patients. Hospital physicians work in the context of a multidisciplinary team with nutritionists, pharmacists, social workers, care managers, child life, PT/OT and nursing.
Applicants are not required to be pediatric hematology/oncology trained and no oncology background is required. General pediatric trained or medical/pediatric physicians are welcome. Training is provided
Work Schedules will include day and night shifts in addition to weekend and holiday rotations.
