Cape Cod Healthcare is looking to bring on Pediatric Hospitalist moonlighters to provide coverage at Falmouth Hospital. It would be weekdays and/or weekends of on-call only (not required to stay in the hospital). 24 hour call - Call would start at 6am at 6am the following day (flexibility around start and finish if need be). Falmouth Hospital has around 350 births/year. The average daily pediatric census is approx. 0.6 patients/day. More details include: Small OB unit 3 OB-GYNs/Nurse Midwives (sometimes during the day) and 2 per-diem Laborists EMR: Soarian Clinicals (going to Epic in November) Circs required (not a deal breaker) 9 bed Level 1 nursery Average 1 birth per day Pedi Emergency Department support – consult only Intubation and umbilical line placement is required onsite Approx. 30 transfers last year, most with minimal resuscitation. Less than 10 babies needing full court press over the past 10 years Lumbar punctures required for newborn and pediatric age group if ED unable Hotel and travel covered as necessary.
