The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Arizona and Banner University Medical Group-Tucson seeks a qualified candidate to lead the General Pediatrics group as Division Chief at the Assistant, Associate, or full Professor level. The incumbent will oversee a number of activities including resident and medical student education, clinical research, child advocacy, and new program development. As part of the University of Arizona College of Medicine, the division staffs teaching clinics as well as providing general health care needs for the children in Tucson and surrounding areas.
The successful candidate will be a creative and dynamic individual with excellent leadership, teaching, administrative and communication skills. Responsibilities will include working to expand and enhance the educational and clinical activities of the division including supervising and mentoring faculty. A strong background in scholarship is desired.
Provide primary care to children served by the Division of General Pediatrics.
Improve faculty and staff engagement through attention to diversity in recruitment, retention, career development, personal leadership development, and effective communication.
Develop curricula and educational programs for resident and student education.
M.D. or D.O. degree
Arizona medical license obtained by start date
BC in Pediatrics
Administrative leadership experience.
Familiar with written & spoken Spanish.
Established expertise working with diverse patient populations.
