The Elizabeth Seton Children’s Center (Yonkers, New York) has an immediate opening for a Physician who is Board Certified in Pediatrics or dual-certified in Internal Medicine/Pediatrics to join our distinguished medical team.
We believe in the healing power of loving relationships. As the nation’s largest pediatric long term care facility, Elizabeth Seton Children’s Center is dedicated to providing the highest quality of care to children with medical complexity, from infancy into young adulthood. We strive to provide all of our residents with as many warm, nurturing, and normalized childhood experiences as possible in a home-like environment that maximizes our residents’ potential. Elizabeth Seton is currently home to 169 children and young adults with medical complexity, including approximately 67 ventilator-dependent children.
Living our core values of Excellence, Innovation, Collaboration, Evolution, Growth and Change, Respect and Embrace Diversity and Loving Relationships, our Children’s Center offers a uniquely rewarding experience for people with a passion for making a difference in the lives of children and their families.
We currently seek a skilled, compassionate Physician to help us expand our services from the current state-of-the-art children’s facility to include the first-of-its-kind Young Adult Center, caring for a medically complex population. This job could provide great research potential for a motivated physician eager to participate in the national conversation of how children with complex care needs transition into adulthood.
Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer, the Physician will coordinate the overall medical care of the children; lead Plan of Care meetings; supervise Pediatric residents and Palliative Care fellows; and collaborate with a diverse team of direct care disciplines. Board certification, New York State license, and DEA certification are required. Applicants with certification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine or Critical Care Medicine are strongly encouraged.
