Academic Faculty Positions in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine
Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California
The Fetal and Neonatal Institute and the Division of Neonatology of the Department of Pediatrics at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) and the University of Southern California (USC) are seeking candidates for three full-time or part-time, non-tenure track faculty positions at the Assistant, Associate or Professor level on the clinical or clinical-educator tracks. These positions are clinically focused and in addition to contributing to pediatric resident and neonatal-perinatal fellow education, the successful candidates will provide clinical service in the 58-bed, level IV state-of-the-art Newborn and Infant Critical Care Unit (NICCU) at CHLA and our inborn NICU at Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center.
The Fetal and Neonatal Institute consists of the CHLA Division of Neonatal Medicine, the NICCU, and the Fetal Maternal Center. The Division has currently 22 faculty. Fellows from the LAC-USC Neonatal-Perinatal program and CHLA residents rotate in the CHLA NICU. The Fetal Maternal Center is one of the largest fetal diagnosis and fetal intervention centers in the nation. Children’s Hospital Los Angeles has been ranked by US News and World Report among the top Children’s Hospitals in the US for many years.
Must hold MD or DO degree
Board certified in Pediatrics
Board certified/eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine
Ability to work in a complex, high-intensity academic environment
Strength in teaching
Experience in patient-oriented, educational, QI/PI or outcomes research
Strong oral and written communication/interpersonal skills

The Fetal and Neonatal Institute and The Division of Neonatology of the Department of Pediatrics at Children's Hospital Los Angeles provide care to critically ill neonates and infants being treated within the level IV NICCU at Children's Hospital Los Angeles and the level III community NICUs (Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center, Provide Tarzana Medical Center and Providence St John Santa Monica Medical Center).
