Massachusetts General Hospital Neonatology and Newborn Medicine
The Division of Neonatology and Newborn Medicine in the Department of Pediatrics at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGHfC) is seeking candidates for a full-time clinical faculty neonatologist to serve as the Medical Director of the growing Newborn Medicine service at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital (WDH), an MGH clinical affiliate and an important part of our network. WDH is a 178-bed community hospital with 1200+ deliveries annually located about 70 miles north of Boston in Dover, NH.
Wentworth-Douglass Hospital's Newborn Medicine service will include 24/7 in-house coverage of the newborn nursery, support of the labor & delivery service, and occasional neonatal consults. The medical director will oversee a team of advanced practice providers and newborn hospitalists and will report directly to MGHfC Neonatology leadership. The clinical team will enjoy support from pediatric subspecialists at MGHfC, including 24/7 support from MGHfC neonatologists via tele-consult, and an active neonatal transport program.
This position will provide excellent opportunities to be involved in quality improvement initiatives in collaboration with MGHfC as well as participation in MGH-based academic activities including MGHfC Grand Rounds and conferences.
This position will become available July 1, 2021 (flexible start date) and will remain open until filled.
Competitive compensation and an excellent benefits package are provided. Requirements include an MD or equivalent degree, eligibility for medical licensure in New Hampshire and Massachusetts, and board certification or eligibility in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
