The Hospitalist Division of Children’s National Hospital (CNH) is seeking a full-time, pediatric/neonatal hospitalist to join our community pediatric hospitalist group in Fredericksburg and Stafford, Virginia. Our division employs over 80 pediatric hospitalists across 7 sites in the DC-Maryland-Virginia area. Our hospitalist group at Mary Washington Healthcare provides 24/7 in-hospital coverage at 2 hospitals: Mary Washington Hospital which includes a 10-bed pediatric unit, newborn nursery, and ED consultations and Stafford Hospital which includes a newborn nursery, Level 2 NICU, delivery coverage, and ED consultations. We are supported by Children’s National neonatologists at the Mary Washington Level 3 NICU and main campus (CNH).
Applicants should have a strong interest in newborn care and willingness to learn and maintain skills needed in a Level 2 NICU. We offer newborn skills sessions and a STABLE course to new and current hires. Applicants should also have excellent communication and leadership skills, interest in evidence-based care and quality improvement, and enjoy working collaboratively with families and other healthcare providers.
