The Orlando Health Medical Group is excited to offer a full-time pediatrician position at Parrish Medical Center in Titusville, FL. We are seeking a General Pediatrician interested in providing inpatient newborn nursery coverage. The Pediatric practice at Parrish is supported by the Pediatric Hospitalist group at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. This close partnership ensures the maintenance of skills and alignment of clinical practice.
Duties include newborn care in the Level 1 nursery, delivery room care, care of common pediatric inpatient illnesses, accessing specialist tele-health support as needed and coordinating patient transfers to Arnold Palmer Hospital when necessary. Overnight call is from home with the expectation of a 30-minute response time. Leadership opportunities, including practice leadership, hospital operations, population health, and quality improvement work are available. Parrish Medical Center is a 210-bed community hospital that stands within sight of the Kennedy Space Center launch towers on Florida’s beautiful Space Coast. Parrish delivers ~600 newborns/year, has a dedicated inpatient pediatric ward and a pediatric-oriented ER area. With the recent revitalization of the space industry this is a very exciting opportunity to work in a growing community on Florida’s beautiful Space Coast. Qualified candidates will be ABP Board Certified/Eligible in Pediatrics, have experience and enthusiasm for both newborn and inpatient pediatric care, and be interested in contributing to a growing practice.
