The University of New Mexico Hospital and the Bernalillo County CARE Campus have partnered to provide detoxification services for individuals who suffer from drug and alcohol addiction. Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner preferred. This position provides consultation to all programming at the CARE Campus. Detoxification medication are provided on a voluntary basis to clients in the Medical Observation Treatment Unit (MOTU) which functions as an individual clinic that focuses on detoxification, and screens for any medical or psychiatric acuity that may require an increased level of care. Buprenorphine is prescribed in this clinic to those addicted to opioids. The clinic hours are 0800 to 1630 Monday to Sunday. This position is a rotating shift position. Function in a specialized area of advance practice in the role of practitioner, mentor, consultant, educator, researcher and manager. Establish goals and priorities in accordance with patient and staff needs and organizational objectives. Ensure adherence to Hospitals and departmental policies and procedures. Patient care assignment may include neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric age groups. |
