Massachusetts General Hospital Neonatology and Newborn Medicine The Division of Neonatology and Newborn Medicine in the Department of Pediatrics at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGHfC) is seeking candidates for a part-time clinical faculty newborn hospitalist to provided clinical care in the MassGeneral for Children affiliated neonatal network. Clinical responsibility includes coverage in two locations, including Holy Family Hospital level II Special Care Nursery in Methuen, MA, and St. Elizabeth's Medical Center level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and level I Newborn Nursery in Brighton, MA. The available position is .5-.75 FTE with approximately 25% of that effort at St. Elizabeth's and 75% at Holy Family, though there is some flexibility in terms of the exact FTE and distribution of clinical time. The successful candidate will work closely with a well-established group of neonatologists and hospitalists. The network includes the Holy Family Hospital 10-bed SCN and level I nursery, the Good Samaritan Medical Center 10-bed SCN and level I nursery, and the 18-bed level III NICU and level I nursery at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center. The dynamic group of dedicated providers enjoys clinical support from MGHfC pediatric subspecialists and an active neonatal transport program. This clinical position will provide excellent opportunities to be involved in quality improvement initiatives in collaboration with MGHfC as well as participation in MGH-based academic activities including MGHfC Grand Rounds and conferences. Interest in clinically related research is welcome. The position offers competitive compensation and an excellent benefits package. An experienced hospitalist is preferred but new graduates are welcome to apply. Requirements include an MD or equivalent degree, eligibility for medical licensure in Massachusetts, and board certification or eligibility in Pediatrics.
