We are a vibrant, growing traditional pediatric practice in Mayo Clinic Health System’s large hub site in Northwest Wisconsin. This position will provide you with the opportunity to join a collegial team of 9 pediatricians operating a busy practice in a physician-led, financially stable organization, committed to both high quality patient care and patient satisfaction. Mayo Clinic Health System-Eau Claire has over 1,300 deliveries per year and the position includes the opportunity to teach and conduct research if interested. The team includes behavioral health specialists, social workers and lactation support nurses.
Pediatricians at Mayo Clinic Health System diagnose and treat pediatric diseases and injuries in both an inpatient and outpatient setting. Our work in the inpatient setting includes both newborns and pediatric patients. The position includes:
conducting comprehensive evaluations of patients
performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
assessing patient status relative to hospital admissions and discharges
prescribing medications and treatments
consulting with colleagues on patient management and treatment plans
Our Pediatricians participate in 1:10 call which covers the emergency department, the nursery, and the level II special care nursery. Weekend call is divided into Friday evening/Sunday or Saturday and pediatric nurse phone triage is available on nights and weekends. Must have M.D., D.O. or foreign degree equivalent. Must be eligible for Wisconsin medical license and must be Board Eligible/Board Certified in Pediatrics, or in final year of ACGME accredited program leading to certification. Pediatric board certified or board eligible M.D., D.O., or foreign degree equivalency candidates will have, or have the ability to obtain, the following required licenses and certifications:
a current and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Wisconsin
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
