Overview M Health Fairview is looking for a Patient Care Supervisor in the Maternity Care Unit & NICU at St. Johns Hospital in Maplewood, MN. This position is 80 hours per two weeks on the Day/ Eve shift, for 8 hour shifts, and is eligible for benefits. We are committed to providing superior health care to our growing community. Our 184 bed facility offers a wide variety of diagnostic and therapeutic services. About this Unit: Our Maternity Care unit offers 29 LDRP beds plus 2 triage rooms. We have 1 water birth room and 2 OR suites. We average 220 deliveries a month and manage many outpatients daily for antenatal testing. Daily census is 20 mom and baby couplets. The Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU) has staff with specialized training and experience to care for sick newborns. It is a 14 bed level III that cares for infants that are 28 weeks gestational age and older. The PCS aids in promoting the practice of professional nursing as well as the development and utilization of resources. The PCS works cooperatively with the Nurse Manager, administration, physicians, staff and customers of the M Health Fairview system to provide services and consistently meet and exceed expectations of the people we serve. The PCS participates in aspects of budgeting, performance management and human resources matters, including recruitment and the administration of disciplinary measures. The PCS assists in implementing and supporting safety protocols and regulations ensuring compliance with federal, state and local requirements and meets all Joint Commission requirements. The PCS will model behaviors consistent with M Health Fairviews mission, vision and philosophy and effectively maintain the hospitals Standards of Care and Practice.
